About
About this blog
I originally started this blog in February of 2010 to share daily events in my life and have a place for all the opinion, topics and photos that I come across every day. It worked well and the blog existed solely for that purpose for a while.
But as time went on, I found myself gradually transitioning the blog towards Japanese topics, more specifically ones relating to anime and visual novels, my two main areas of interest. As well I started buying goods from Japan, so I felt like I should share it here with others.
For a while I exclusively reported and reviewed the Angel Beats! series. Lately I’ve diversified into other anime and is now blogging about interesting things from the general Anime/Visual Novel industry, while sharing some of the good wallpapers that come by my way.

Hello! I came upon your blog as I was looking for information regarding Viera Keitai 942P. Reading your blog entry about the said phone, I was hoping that you could tell me about how to buy keitai from Japan that I can use in the US. I’m now bored with iOS and since I have interest in Japan, I had an idea of getting a keitai as a replacement for my iPhone.
Can I also ask what does Moe anime mean? Or how is one classified as.
Thank you!

A 942P is going to have media lock on it which will make the device really difficult to use. You can buy them on Craigslist, eBay and a lot of different forums.
Can you recommend something of the same level of a phone that is easier to use? Something that does not have a media lock that is.
Thanks!
A NTTdocomo P-06B looks identical to the 942P and you will be able to use it in the States with a hyperSIM card.
You can see a list of phones that will work in Canada (and thereby US) by visiting my Wiki at http://keitai.wikispaces.com/
Thank you very much!
I’m just new to the world of Keitai. That is why I ask so many questions.
After reading several of your keitai posts, I have a little bit more knowledge about the subject matter. P-06B does look similar to 942P but now, I think I’ll aim for the SH-10C. One, as you have said on your blog, NTT-Docomo keitai has little or no problem being used outside of Japan. Two, with an announcement that they will be lifting off the lock starting with their summer 2011 phone lineup, hypersim is no longer necessary to use the phone = no problem with CPR. For a first time (hopefully soon) user of keitai, its a win win.
Thanks again for all the input. I am now a follower of your blog.
がんばれ!
Questions aren’t a problem. As for the SH-10C, make sure you buy an unlocked model so that you will have signal stability.
HowardForums is another place you should visit and read for information. I’m active there as well. Link: http://www.howardforums.com/forumdisplay.php/418-Japanese-Phones
