More fun continues in Episode 10!
Ika Musume gets introduced to a Japanese tradition of “teru-teru bouzu” – a small character that one hangs on a rainy day in the hopes of clearing the sky.
At the same time, the family discovers just how odd Ika-chan’s artistic style is.
Hit past the break for more!
Eiko and Chizuru ask Ika Musume to draw her impression of them, and others in the series.
Takeru manages to finish his homework. Meanwhile, Ika Musume draws an impression of herself.
The rain still has not stopped yet, so in an effort to make Takeru happy Ika Musume becomes a teru teru bouzu.
But the rain doesn’t stop, instead becoming more fierce.
So, at night, Ika Musume fulfills her promise, but…
At the urging of Eiko, Sanae tries to overcome her “addiction” to Ika Musume, with funny (but serious business) results.
Oh, also, drugs are bad, guys. Don’t do ‘em!
Sanae thinks that Ika-chan loves her back like this ↓
Her symptoms are just like someone going through a bad breakup or a drug withdrawal. Seriously.
Yeah, drugs do this to you too. That’s serious business.
Things were fine for a while but then something snaps inside Sanae and she returns to her old ways. As happy as ever, too.
We can say for sure that she’s an M.
Ika Musume is happy at another good day when she overhears Kiyomi’s conversation. Her baseball team’s pitcher is sick and there’s a match that day. Ika Musume goes out to help.
Ika Musume is no good at baseball. It’s her first time, after all.
And so the match begins. Promptly Kiyomi’s team gets owned.
But of course Ika Musume won’t let that happen. She slowly gets the hang of baseball.
And then yet another emergency. Kiyomi’s hands are worn out from throwing the ball. Ika Musume offers to replace her on the mound.
That’s a walk-off home run in its extremity. That ball must have traveled 30 city blocks for god’s sake!
The opposing team wants to scout Ika Musume upon learning that she’s not even a team member.
And the series continues…
