The cosplay goodness continued through the 2nd & 3rd day.
A statistic: 500,000 visitors walked through the venue at Tokyo Big Sight over the 3 days of Comiket 81.
The season is winter, and one thing is always on the mind of tens of millions of anime fans worldwide.
Comicket kicked off its 81st session at Tokyo Big Sight on 2011/12/29 to great fanfare.
Accompanying each Comicket session are the host of high-quality cosplayers decorating the scene. Although there are less of the revealing cosplays that you’ve seen with Comicket 80 (due to winter coldness), there are plenty for everyone to see.

Comicket 80 (C80) concluded earlier today after setting a one-day record of 200,000 visitors and a three-day tally of 540,000 visitors.
For the cosplayers, it was an important day as the regulations were loosened for C80, allowing for objects longer than 30cm to be brought in. This in turn led to a more colorful cosplay session compared to previous years.
Below are some of the nicer photos that I’ve picked from a 2ch C80 Cosplay thread.
